Headshots
No headshot, no finish line.
Every athlete needs a current headshot to complete registration. It is how coaches recognize your athlete and how they show up in standings and family emails.
Take one clear photo
Face and shoulders, good light, facing the camera. A phone photo is perfect.
Upload during registration
It is required to finish — free or paid. We resize large photos automatically.
Stored with a permanent link
Saved in our secure media library, so the image never breaks in emails or standings.
Shown where it should be
Coach and admin tools, your family pages, signed-in standings, and family emails.
Returning athletes can reuse the headshot already on file. You can upload a new one anytime from your family profile. The public website does not list athlete headshots.

Registration
Who registers my athlete?
A parent or guardian registers each athlete. Athletes do not need their own email or login to participate — the parent account is the home base for the whole household.
When is registration open?
Each Challenge publishes its own registration dates. When a Challenge is open, it appears on the Registration page and the Challenge directory. Some Challenges also offer early-bird pricing for a limited window.
We registered last season. Do we start over?
No. Sign in with your existing parent account and choose your athlete from your household. Returning athletes can reuse the headshot already on file.
Why do you ask for grade and a season goal?
Grade is required on every registration so athletes are grouped fairly. The season goal gives your athlete a target to chase and helps coaches track progress.
Headshots
Is a headshot really required?
Yes. A headshot is required to complete registration — free or paid. If the upload does not finish, registration is not completed yet; your athlete's details stay saved so you can try again.
What kind of photo should I upload?
A clear, well-lit, front-facing photo of your athlete's face and shoulders. A phone photo is perfect — we resize large photos automatically before upload.
Where is the headshot stored and who sees it?
The photo is stored in our secure media library with a permanent image link, so it never breaks in emails or on standings. It appears in coach and admin tools, in your family pages, on signed-in standings where enabled, and in family emails. The public website does not list athlete headshots.
Can I change the photo later?
Yes. Upload a new photo from your family profile in the Parent Portal. The newest photo becomes the current headshot.
Daily submissions & homework
How does my athlete submit daily work?
Sign in to the Parent Portal and open Activity. Enter today's work — for the Shooting Challenge that is total shots — and add a practice video when the Challenge asks for one.
Is there a daily deadline?
Yes. Each Challenge sets its own dates and time zone, and a day counts in that time zone. Submitting every day protects your athlete's streak.
What is Challenge homework?
Short Educational Athletics lessons assigned during the season. They open from the Homework page in the Parent Portal, and finishing them can earn XP and unlock levels.
Standings & progress
Where can we see standings?
Signed-in families see Challenge standings in the Parent Portal when the Challenge has them turned on. Your athlete's own progress, streaks, and milestones are always available on their progress page.
How is Challenge XP earned?
Athletes earn Challenge XP for daily work, streaks, milestones, and homework. Challenge XP starts at zero for each Challenge, so every season is a fresh start.
Emails
Who sends Challenge emails?
Emails come from 127 Sports Intensity. Replies go straight to the coordinator at schmidt@fairfieldbasketballclub.com.
What emails will we get?
Families can receive a welcome after registration, updates after daily submissions, and weekly athlete summaries. Each email type is turned on per Challenge, so your season may include some or all of them.
Payments
How do payments work?
Paid Challenges use secure Stripe checkout. We never see or store your card number. Registration is completed once Stripe confirms the payment.
Are some Challenges free?
Yes. Free Challenges skip checkout entirely. Pricing, including any early-bird price, is shown before you pay.
What if something goes wrong with a payment?
Email schmidt@fairfieldbasketballclub.com with your athlete's name and the Challenge. We will sort it out with you directly.
Safety & privacy
What is shown publicly?
Public pages show Challenge information only: overviews, dates, and how to join. Progress details, videos, coach feedback, contact information, and payments stay behind parent sign-in.
Who can see practice and coaching videos?
Videos are private by default. Your family and the coaches reviewing them can see them; they are not published on the public site.
How is our account protected?
Parents sign in with a secure one-time email link — there is no password to remember or leak. Coach and admin tools are limited to authorized staff.
